Jacques Vallee-On 'Messengers of Deception'

Jacquesvallee DailyGrail.com

As mentioned recently, Daily Grail Publishing has just released a reprint of Jacques Vallee's UFO classic, Messengers of Deception (Amazon US and Amazon UK). Last week I had a quick chat with Jacques about the book, and the controversy it created in ufology. It was intentionally short - I could talk to Jacques for a couple of days on all manner of topics, but in this case I just wanted to address the elements of his work which have made him, as he describes it, "a heretic among heretics" - namely, his concern about uncritical acceptance of the UFO phenomenon, and also the 'psychic' manifestations found in UFO reports which suggest that they may not be "nuts and bolts" craft.

The Secret Commonwealth of Elves, Fauns and Faeries

[An excellent article.  Precisely the same conclusions as my article on Lillith and Satyrs. -Jay]Malachim

The photo on the right is a 5,500 year-old Sumerian clay figurine. The resemblance to today's grays is overwhelming. I would like to draw your attention to the rod in its hand. This instrument was described by various abductees and Paiute Indians as a device to subdue, and paralyze potential captives.

The 5,000 year-old figurine does resemble descriptions and drawings of UFO occupants, but the startling thing is the rod – or in fairy lore, "wand"! One modern case in particular warrants investigation for historical comparison.

...pointed a pencil like instrument at him and he found himself immobilized...

Leading UFO Reserchers Confirm Christian View

Mother_ship By: William Nugent [Not affiliated]

A general consensus has emerged among serious, science oriented UFO researchers that a certain small percentage of UFOs are real and are not figments of anyone's imagination. Furthermore, it is well known that many individuals claim to receive messages from alleged extra-terrestials aboard UFOs.

The messages received from UFOs are generally occultic and steer people away from belief in Christian doctrine. Extra-terrestials tend to undermine or attack the Christian faith.

St. Thomas & St. Augustine on the Efficacy of Magic

Aquinasbkgrnd

Here is St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine saying what I have been thinking for a while concerning  the occult's use of evil symbols and signs. The Catholic rightly opposes the evil use, but knows that the good angels help those who appropriately use godly signs and symbols. This is why our Churches are adorned with images and such. Now we see why masonry "speaks" and builds things the way it does with evil symbols and architecture-'sacred' geometry.

Part IIa-IIae, Q. 96, Articles 1:

Whether it be unlawful to practice the observances of the magic art?

Objection 1. It would seem that it is not unlawful to practice the observances of the magic art. A thing is said to be unlawful in two ways. First, by reason of the genus of the deed, as murder and theft: secondly, through being directed to an evil end, as when a person gives an alms for the sake of vainglory. Now the observances of the magic art are not evil as to the genus of the deed, for they consist in certain fasts and prayers to God; moreover, they are directed to a good end, namely, the acquisition of science. Therefore it is not unlawful to practice these observances.

Most Complex Crop Circle Yet

[Interesting that these usually seem to appear near castles and ancient pagan shrines in the UK.  I suspect that occultists evoke these (given their love for pagan shrines and castles, often imagining themselves royalty) unless there is military technology that occultists run that "makes" these.  I think these are actually more probable explanations than the hoaxers at night in some cases.  Cases of orb sightings also accompany many of these manifestations.  Its also obvious that a glance at many of the more credible and complex circles are undeniably occult and esoteric symbols--and never explicitly Christian in significance.  Though not directly related to crop circles, see Christopher O'Brien's "The Mysterious Valley" and "Secrets of the Mysterious Valley." -Jay]

The formation, measuring 150ft in diameter, is apparently a coded image representing the first 10 digits, 3.141592654, of pi.

It is has appeared in a field near Barbury Castle, an iron-age hill fort above Wroughton, Wilts, and has been described by astrophysicists as "mind-boggling".

Michael Reed, an astrophysicist, said: "The tenth digit has even been correctly rounded up. The little dot near the centre is the decimal point.

The Biblical Case for Liturgy, Lillith, and Satyrs

Lilith_2 Or, the 'gods' are Real

By: Jay Dyer

A strange title for an article, indeed, but they told us in high school to make your opening line catchy, so hopefully that will bring sweat to the brow of some Calvinist. It’s quite surprising to see that many biblical theologians refuse to admit the existence of the angelic realm, given that it’s so prominent in Sacred Scripture, both in the New and Old Testaments. But this is to be expected since higher criticism is the norm. We will examine below the prominence in Scripture of both sides of the angelic: the holy and the demonic, and see from many scholars of various Christian traditions that the correct biblical and historical view of the hierarchies is quite a diverse realm.

I hope for this to be eye opening to many Protestants who for whatever reasons have failed to understand the biblical and historical case for this legitimate area of theology. I know from my own experience that Calvinist circles tend to be completely unaware in practice, at least, of the influence and action of secondary angelic agents, such as angels or demons. This is because Calvinism thrusts all of its theological focus on the divine will, and usually upon the immediate causality of the divine will, even if mediate, secondary causes are professed intellectually. For proof of this, I challenge the reader to name one Calvinistic exorcist. Case closed. Thus we find this to be an area of radical difference in both Orthodoxy and traditional Catholic teaching when compared with Protestant theology, even of its more conservative stripes. It’s also very telling to me that it’s generally the Churches with Apostolic Succession that actually do exorcisms.

The Demonic Roots of Globalism

The Cosmic Battle

One can view our world and its history...as a crazy quilt of happenstance -- of unplanned, unrelated events. Or we can see in all of this a pattern, a slow moving forward of human history towards a goal, a climactic event... Changes that affect an entire society never happen overnight, although it may seem that way to many people... Over a period of many decades, the foundation has been laid, one stone at a time, for a deception in the minds of men that would engulf not only this nation, but the entire world. (p. 11-12)

We are told in the Bible that there is a being capable of such an undertaking. His name is Lucifer... He was a member of God's highest order of created beings, an angelic prince, and his name means "light-bearer". Isaiah 14:12-15 and Ezekiel 28:11-19 tell us much about his character and of God's judgement upon him. When he was cast out from the mountain of God, he lost his high and holy position before "the Ancient of Days"; but he lost none of his incredible, supernatural intelligence and power...

Old Roman Rite of Exorcism

Archan4 Chapter I

General Rules Concerning Exorcism

  1. A priest -- one who is expressly and particularly authorized by the Ordinary -- when he intends to perform an exorcism over persons tormented by the devil, must be properly distinguished for his piety, prudence, and integrity of life. He should fulfill this devout undertaking in all constancy and humility, being utterly immune to any striving for human aggrandizement, and relying, not on his own, but on the divine power. Moreover, he ought to be of mature years, and revered not alone for his office but for his moral qualities.
  2. In order to exercise his ministry rightly, he should resort to a great deal more study of the matter (which has to be passed over here for the sake of brevity), by examining approved authors and cases from experience; on the other hand, let him carefully observe the few more important points enumerated here.
  3. Especially, he should not believe too readily that a person is possessed by an evil spirit; but he ought to ascertain the signs by which a person possessed can be distinguished from one who is suffering from some illness, especially one of a psychological nature. (From the emended text of the 1952 edition.) Signs of possession may be the following: ability to speak with some facility in a strange tongue or to understand it when spoken by another; the faculty of divulging future and hidden events; display of powers which are beyond the subject's age and natural condition; and various other indications which, when taken together as a whole, build up the evidence.

Number of Exorcisms Rising in Australia Due to Satanism

.- Increased interest in Satanism and the occult has led to a rise in exorcisms in the Australian state of Queensland, the Courier Mail reports.

One priest who asked not to be identified said he presently carried out exorcisms at least once every two weeks.

"Being possessed by a demon is terrifying in one's mental and emotional life," he said to the Courier Mail. "Some of these manifestations are extremely powerful, causing people to be plagued by disturbances. They hear voices and see hideous creatures in their sleep.

"There has been a recruitment of pagan practices, and it's sheer poison.”
